The Spice Girls have just revealed the 20dancers they’ll be taking to stadiums up and down the country on their Spice World 2019 tour. The girls have whittled over 5.000 applicants from across the globe down to the 20 fortunate dancers.
The band, made up of Mel B, Geri Horner, Emma Bunton and Melanie C, took to their official Instagram to share a video showcasing the talented dance professionals in the audition process.
From the 5.000 applicants, 400 auditioned, 200 lads, 200 ladies; out of the hundreds of auditionees, just 80 people were called back with 40 finalists then chosen and performing a freestyle dance solo.
In the end, the Spice Girls picked 20 talented and unique dancers, aged between 18 to 35 for the Spice World 2019 tour. The crew will work with choreographer Paul Roberts.
The kick off: Dublin on May 24th
The tour, which will feature all the original band members except Victoria Beckham, will open in Cardiff after which it will make its way through Manchester, Coventry, Sunderland, Edinburgh, Bristol and culminating in London.
The Spice Girls announced late last year that they will be performing in Dublin this Summer. This will be the first time that they will perform in Ireland in 21 years.
However, it won’t be all the Spice Girls going on tour as it was announced that they will be missing Victoria Beckham as she is busy with business commitments.
